A date for the retroactive payment of wages based on the Pay Equity Award for RSMCs has been set. Canada Post was targeting to have the payment out some time in the summer. We have been informed that the retro payment is planned for the June 13th pay.
This pay is for the three-year period of January 1st, 2016 up to and including December 31st, 2018. Members will be paid the difference between their derived hourly rate for their zone, based on their RMS hours, and the hourly rate of a letter carrier.
Regular deductions will apply as well as the premiums for the Long Term Disability insurance plan for the same three-year period.
