Your Public Post Office Delivers Campaign / Form
The federal government has introduced Bill C-14, an Act to amend the Canada Post Corporation Act. If passed, Bill C-14 would partially deregulate Canada Post by removing international letters from Canada Post's exclusive privilege to deliver letters.
CUPW believes that it will become increasingly difficult for our public post office to provide affordable service to everyone, no matter where they live, if the government erodes the very mechanism that funds universal postal service - the exclusive privilege.
As well, we believe that Bill C-14 could set the stage for further deregulation which would harm postal workers, the public and small business.
It has never been more important to act. The union would like you to send a letter to your member of Parliament opposing Bill C-14.
