Action Alert: This is a reminder that CUPW is asking you to participate in a button/sticker day on December 4, 2008

Strategic Review of Canada Post / Bulletin

2008-2011/100

We need to continue to put pressure on both the Government and Canada Post in order to preserve the public’s right to universal public postal service and our members’ right to contract protections and benefits, which may not be “flexible” enough in the mind of the government or Canada Post representatives.

We have already sent you stickers, and a bulletin.  You should have received “Peace, Joy and a Public Post Office” button in the last couple of days.

Could you ensure that the buttons and stickers are distributed?  We are encouraging you to distribute the buttons to letter carriers, RSMC’s and MSC’s (if you have them in your office) and to the clerks who deal with the public.  We were unable to obtain enough buttons for all the members.  Everyone should be encouraged to wear the buttons and/or the stickers on December 4th.

Please encourage our members to continue to wear these buttons and stickers until December 31, 2008

Every action we take makes our campaign stronger.  Your help is needed to promote our vision of the public post office.

In solidarity,

Denis Lemelin
National President
