Peace, Joy and a Public Post Office

Strategic Review of Canada Post / Bulletin

2008-2011/084

Peace, Joy and a Public Post OfficeOn December 4, 2008, we are asking all CUPW members to wear a ”Peace, Joy, and Public Post Office Stickers”.  It is a good way to say that we want to maintain the public postal service.

The Canada Post Strategic Review Panel is deciding on their recommendations regarding the future of Canada Post.  We want to ensure that people are reminded about the Strategic Review and the report from the panel is expected in December.

Season’s greetings

These stickers are an ideal way to send our Seasons Greetings out to our friends, co‑workers, and the public.

These stickers also send a message to Canada Post about the way forward.  They are to:

  • treat postal workers and our union in a manner that leads to labour peace;
  • address our concerns related to safety, respect  and harassment on the work floor;
  • maintain a public universal postal service.

It is important to talk about our vision of the post office and our future as workers.

Together, our voices will be heard.

In solidarity,

Denis Lemelin
National President
